Boston-based human rights and international development organization Grassroots International has begun an appeal for the release of Mohammad for US citizens.
Demand the Release Mohammad Othman
Grassroots International partner Stop the Wall Campaign alerted us to the arrest of Mohammad Othman on September 22nd by Israeli soldiers on the Allenby Bridge Crossing, the border separating Jordan from the Palestinian West Bank.
Mohammad, 33 years old, has dedicated the last 10 years of his life to the defense of Palestinian human rights. He has worked tirelessly against the dispossession of Palestinian farmers (including his own family). He is now being held in Huwara prison as a prisoner of conscience, arrested solely for his human rights work.
Mohammad’s initial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29th. By using the form below to send letters to the US Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC, you’ll help build international pressure for Mohammad’s immediate release.
